wax

Block anything with supervision. Without erasing your iPhone.

No app on your iPhone. No Apple Configurator. Setup takes minutes, not hours.

For Mac with Apple silicon and iPhones on iOS 27 and earlier. Pay once, no subscription.

Without erasing your iPhone

Supervision is what makes a block stick. The usual way to get it is Apple Configurator, and it wipes the phone first. Wax supervises your iPhone with your photos, messages and apps in place.

No app on the phone

Screen-time apps live on the phone, so you can delete them, snooze them or turn them off. Wax puts no app on your iPhone. There is nothing on it to delete or snooze.

Minutes, not hours

Plug in, click, done. Wax sends a small setting over the cable and restarts the iPhone once. No Configurator, no MDM server, no profiles to edit by hand.

Questions

Is my data erased?

No. Wax supervises your iPhone with your data in place. Nothing is wiped to set it up.

Should I still back up first?

Yes, as you would before any change to your phone. Wax does not need the backup and makes no copy of its own. Your backup in Finder or iCloud is simply your way back if something goes wrong.

How do I undo it?

From your Mac, at any time. Connect your iPhone, open Wax and choose Remove Supervision. Your data stays. Without supervision your blocks stop working, and you can then remove the Wax profile in Settings. It needs your Wax key but uses none of its iPhones.

What if it doesn't work for my iPhone?

We will refund you. Write to us

Do I need Apple Configurator or an MDM?

No. Wax supervises the iPhone itself, over the cable, from your Mac.

Which iOS versions does Wax support?

iOS 27 and earlier. iOS 28 is not supported yet. You also need a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 14 or later, and a cable for your iPhone.

Can I use it on more Macs?

Yes. Your key counts iPhones, not Macs, so use Wax on as many Macs as you like.

I got a new iPhone. What now?

Free up the old one in the Polar customer portal, then set up the new one with Wax. Open the customer portal

What happens after the year of updates?

Wax keeps working. You keep the last version you received.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Polar sells Wax for us and handles refunds. Ask for one through the link in your Polar receipt.

Does Wax collect my data?

No. The Mac app collects no analytics. To sign your profile, the app sends what you picked to block to our server, which signs it and keeps nothing. To check your license key, it sends Polar the key, your iPhone's name and a one-way hash of the iPhone's id.
